PremenstrualSyndrome

Premenstrual Syndrome or PMS is a set of symptoms women sometimes get about a week before menstruation. The range of symptoms is wide, and most commonly are breast tenderness, bloating, headache, mood swings, depression, anxiety, anger, and irritability. PMS usually ends the day of menstruation. I've read about a woman who has symptoms like this and keeps forgetting that it means she's going to start menstruating soon, and that it's not life that's making her feel that way. This is probably true for many women.

Here's a comic about PMS by Sarah C. Anderson from her webcomic Sarah's Scribbles.

"While not menstruating women like a man? who's rugged-looking, square-jawed and handsome. During menstruation women like a man with a fork sticking out of his forehead." (It's really about PMS, but the joke is more or less as I found it.)
