Infanticide

Infanticide is the practice of killing babies. It was mostly practiced in ancient times or in primitive cultures, but it is still practiced today. Usually babies with defects were killed, and, often, girls, just because they were (and are) viewed as less valuable.

So what's this article doing on a sex education website? Well, sex produces babies, and they are often not wanted. This is something we used to do in the past, except, see below.

Abortion is probably the modern equivalent of infanticide.
