The prostate is a gland in male people, that is, boys and men?. It's located inside the body, behind, a little higher and further back than the penis. It surrounds the urethra? below the bladder.

The prostate makes and holds the fluid that forms part of semen.

The prostate also has a muscle switch that controls if you are going to pee or ejaculate? out of your penis.
