Pregnancy
Pregnancy is when there is a child inside a woman. In the article on reproduction I cover that the fertilised? egg travels down the Fallopian tubes and connects to the wall of the uterus (womb). More accurately, the egg becomes a zygote? when fertilised. It's also called an embryo? until it becomes a foetus. The embryo becomes implanted to the uterine wall and grows in complexity and size. At 9 weeks the embryo becomes a foetus?, which I think might be the same as an infant. The infant grows to full size until he or she is ready to be born?. Pregnancy is about 9 months long.
It is impossible to get pregnant again while you are already pregnant, even if you have sex.
Pregnancy can also happen with fraternal or identical twins or more. This happens when there is an extra egg or the zygote splits into two shortly after becoming a zygote.
