Uterus
The uterus or womb is a reproductive organ inside a woman where the foetus? lives during pregnancy. It is attached to the Fallopian tubes at the top left and top right sides. The bottom of the uterus is called the cervix?, where it connects to the vagina.
During pregnancy the foetus attaches itself to the uterus' wall, from which it gets nutrients. During birth? the infant exits the uterus through the cervix and out of the vagina.
When not pregnant the uterus is about the size of a peanut.
About once every 28 days the wall or lining of the uterus is shed and exits through the vagina, which is called menstruation.
