Uterus

The uterus (pronounced YOO-ter-us, or maybe YOO-teh-rus) or womb (pronounced WOOM) is a reproductive organ inside a girl or woman where the foetus? lives during pregnancy. It is attached to the Fallopian tubes at the top left and top right sides. The top of the uterus is called the fundus, and the bottom of is called the cervix?. The cervix connect to and sticks out a little into vagina, in this way connecting the uterus to the vagina.
During pregnancy the foetus attaches itself to the uterus' wall, from which it gets nutrients. During birth? the infant exits the uterus through the cervix and out of the vagina.
When not pregnant the uterus is about the size of a peanut.
About once every 28 days the wall or lining of the uterus is shed and exits through the vagina, which is called menstruation.
