Rape
Rape is when someone is forced to have sex, or otherwise has sex without consent. Both boys and girls can rape and be raped, but mostly women and girls are raped by men and boys. Rape is a severely serious and heinous crime.
Rape is a special kind of evil and one of the worst things you can do to someone. I hear that rape is about power and sex. That is, the desire of the rapist is to destroy and control someone, not just to have sexual pleasure.
If it happens to you
If rape has happened to you, or happens to you in the future, know that it is not your fault. It is 100% not your fault. It is completely and entirely the fault of the rapist. It doesn't matter who you were associating with, what you were wearing, where you were, or what intoxicating substances you consumed lately. People know not to rape. Also, know that you are not less valuable as a person if this happens to you.
If you should happen to have vaginal lubrication or sexual pleasure or even orgasm during the rape that does not mean that you wanted it to happen, that you enjoyed it, or that you consented! Those are automatic reactions by your body and not under your control, and they are not your fault or responsibility.
