I have some warnings about sex.
You get a sex drive
About the time you hit puberty, you get a sex drive. (Old term "libido".) A sex drive is much more than noticing the opposite sex. A sex drive partially takes over your brain. It makes you think about sex quite a lot, almost all the time if you let it. It makes you want to have sexual activity with another person almost constantly. It's a strong and powerful urge and it's difficult to resist it all the time.
Have you ever felt in danger of your life and got a very high urge to do whatever you could to survive? That's your survival instinct. Well, your sex drive is a lot like that, only not quite as powerful. But your sex drive is on almost all the time, except maybe when you're in a lot of pain or really sick, or you've just recently had sex. And it never stops...
You get a sex drive from around the time you're 13 and it peaks around when you are 18. It then declines, but only very slowly, for the rest of your life. Men? have our sex drive taper off more quickly after 50, but we still have one until we die. I am sure something happens to women's sex drives after menopause? but I haven't researched it yet.
I want to write an article saying what I know on how to manage your sex drive, but it isn't a lot.
People will try to use your sexuality to manipulate and control you
This applies to both boys and girls.
TV, movies, magazines, music and all other media have needless sexuality and things to do with sex in them. This is to get your attention and to divert your sex drive into watching the show (and viewing the advertisements) instead of healthy bonding with your sex partner.
Women, and definitely not all women, can use their sexualities to manipulate men with their sexiness?. Not all sexiness is manipulation, but a lot of it definitely is.
Sexual activity with another person for the first time is overwhelming
Sexual activity with another person may be the most overwhelming, intense experience of your life. This applies even if you have practiced sex alone a lot.
It's an intense, bonding experience that should only be done as an adult? and with someone you're married to.
Internet porn is extremely addictive
Internet porn is different from porn of the past and has evolved to be extremely addictive. No one should look at pornography but internet porn is more addictive. You're competing against millions of pages designed to be alluring and compulsive. You don't stand a chance.
This also applies to boys and girls, although it may be less addictive for girls. Don't look at porn.
